Now boys I know that I messed up a bit in the past and the whole "Hallowe'en lights out" post didn't work out to well for me but here we go again....

Boys, this is a true story. Once upon a time, long ago in a land far away (Canada) there was a young boy named vega007. Now this young boy was at a fine dining facility one night (McDonalds) and he saw a bunch of homeless people outside the restaurant. Well boys as you know I'm all for a bit of a laugh and what's funnier than homeless people eh, so I went outside with my ice cream sundae to say hi to them. Well boys what do you know they weren't homless after all they were actually your typical Canadian minor hockey league team. Well to cut a long story short the goalie at the time was a young lad named Jamie McLennan. I bought him a plastic spoon and he told me he was forever in his debt a plastic spoon was the stuff dreams are made of for a Candian minor hockey league team. Well now Jamie I said, you can just pay me back by fixing a game for me when you make it to the NHL. Now boys he looked scruffy and he wasn't that good a goalie so I never thought he'd make it but what do you know he's starting tonight in goal for the Flames. Now boys I actually posted this play in the hockey forum on Tuesday night but I took it down because I didn't want you all to get the best value sorry boys I don't love you the way I love my wallet. Anyway I did post this last night in the Rubber Room just for those deadbeats we all know they don't have much in their lives so I thought I'd pad their wallets a bit just as a nice thing like.

Anyway the line opened at -120 but I hammered it all night and now it's down to -135. I'm not joking here, I actually told several respected posters that I was going to move the line and they can back me up if you don't believe me. This line should have opened up at -250 but what do you know they don't have Canadians doing hockey lines they have Americans who don't know a thing about hockey oh well too bad for them.

Now remember boys take the Money Line, not the -.5 line because my lock is not that the NYR will win, but that the Flames will NOT win. This could be a tie.

Now you must also remember that only one team in NHL history has swept all three NY area teams (LA last year) and Calgary just beat the Islanders and Devils back to back no way they beat the Rangers, remember this will forever be known as "Vega's Plastic Spoon Post" and it's a winner I have the inside info remember boys just like my pal Cool Hand Jim I work for you not the bookies so let's all go now and bet this game.

Oh no, not again... /infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Vega,

What kind of silly story is this? Why a plastic spoon. It doesn't make any sense at all. I think your Brad with the on/off switch was much better, and more believable.

And why is it your locks always involve your home town Calgary. Is it because it's on tv, and it's the only thing on tv in your house, because you have no cable, and you just want to give us a lock, so you can have the game be more interesting.

And how can you say it's a lock, when you are saying to lay the half goal because it might be a tie. If it might be a tie, then how can this be a lock. Locks should turn into blowouts, not possible ties.

Vega, your stock just went down here. What is it, you have locks on Calgary every Thursday. Last Thursday it was Calgary over, today it's NYR against Calgary. Who's Calgary playing next thursday, will you have a lock for us then.

It is a sure thing. I gave this guy a plastic spoon back in 1997. He told me yesterday he kept it as a reminder of how kind people can be to the homeless er Canadian minor hockey team eh and he will be giving something back to me today. Just you wait and see.

When is the last time a -120 line moved 15 cents in four hours?

Ok, now it's official. You really are clueless. Lines moving 15 cents in 4 hours only happens to about 250 games a year. And they even move 15 cents in 10 minutes, not 4 hours.

NYR -135 LOCK AND SICK THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN

READ NASA'S POST ABOUT ME

Wilhelm,

that was classic. I just came back from swimming, and i see Vega hopping over the boards. Vega, just admit that was you and stop lying. That's exactly how I picture you.

BTW Vega, you give everyone a lock pick, then you give us the wrong team. Do you even know who you want, or are you wasting our time here.

It's NOT the NY-Islanders -135.... It's the NY.Rangers --135.

Wouldn't it be funny folks if this game ends 6-0 for Calgary. I think this will shut vega up for a little while with giving us picks. Ok, maybe just for 2 more days.

Vega, you're a genius. First of all, you pick a game and say that the goalie knows about the fix. Well, he has a shutout going into OT. NOT too covincing. Then you tell us how good the over was, well, it turned out to be the lowest scoring game in the NHL this year with a 0-0 tie going into OT.

Some lock. I'm sure you NEVER sweat this one, right Vega? /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Calgary hits the inside of the post very late in the game, and everyone thought it was a goal, including the Calgary player. Don't tell me, he aimed it at the post, right? /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Doesn't he know the fix was on. He came within 1 inch of f ucking up your fix. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And to win a game in OT is NO lock. The NYR were very lucky to have won this game. You and I know they were lucky, so don't brag. And you know I had NYR tonight on the ML, as you can see in the contest picks that I made, so I was cheering for you.

And by the way, that Nasa guy speaks great english for a Russian. And he made NO grammar mistakes. This guy is good. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

This is great that goalie let the goal in. If any of you saw it, you would totally know what I'm talking about. He let the goal in, no question. Crazy Ivan Jivin could have made that save. Easy win. I hope you all listened to me.

why then boyvega did he wait til O.T.?

if he were fixing the game( why am i even posting this) he wouldn`t wait til O.T. /infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Bottom line, I win. Now lets just hope the Pistons score first in their game and I'll be perfect on the day.
